Bible reading: Matthew 26:14–16
Memory Verse: No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (KJV).
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
Have you ever wondered the best gift you can give to the Almighty? Is it praises or worship or thanksgiving. God appreciates all of these.
Yet, there’s something bigger. This is embedded in the reason why God gave His only begotten Son to die for the whole world. God gave Jesus to reap you and I. God subjected Himself to the law of seed time and harvest to gain the whole world. There’s a spiritual exchange mechanism in the realm of the Spirit. Nothing happens without a sacrifice. A price for the prize!
You’re the prize. The death of Jesus was the price. Prizes like medals and laurels are to be displayed publicly for the admiration of all. Are you worthy of the display? Can God declare authoritatively that “You are my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased?”
If you are not sure of the day you gave your life to Christ, then you are probably not yet born again. If you have doubts in your heart if your name is in the Book of life, then you’re probably a sinner. Give your life up to the Lord. Let Him own you. Let Him be the Captain of your ship. Enter into His provisions. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, Christ has been lifted up on the Cross of Calvary. Look and live!
Quote: You have not started living until you give your life to Christ.
Prophetic Word: May your life never defeat the purpose of the death of Jesus.
Prayer Focus
Father, thank you for the wonderful gift of Jesus to mankind. I accept you as my Lord and personal saviour. Come into my life. Wash my sins away with the Blood of the Lamb. Grant me grace to abound and bear fruit in you. Break every evil addiction of masturbation, lying , pornography, stealing and covetousness in me, in Jesus name.
