Bible Reading: Gen 1:1-2, Isa. 41:10,13

Recently I saw something very inspiring in the Book of Genesis. In the beginning, the earth was without form and void, darkness was upon the face of the deep. The first thing that happened was that the Holy Ghost moved upon the surface of the earth (Gen 1:2). Then, God began to speak and declare: Let there be light…, let there be firmament… etc.

Does the next coming year look bleak? Does the actualization of your dream seem impossible? Are our sceptical about your next class? I perceive there is a user of this devotional that seems confused and despondent. My school fees? Will I be able to complete this pending project? I hope there won’t be another carry over? Listen: “Your hope must be built on nothing else but Jesus’ love and righteousness. You dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ, the solid Rock you must stand; all other ground is sinking sand” – Edward Mote (1797-1874).

Why should you be scared of the future when the one who owns the future is standing by as your Father. Don’t give up. Silence that voice of fear. God is for you. Open up your mouth in declaration and frame your world amidst uncertainties. Open your mouth and command the womb of the coming year. Life and death is in power of the tongue. You have the power to build or pull down as you deem fit. The Holy One of Israel is gone ahead of you, entertain no fear. He will strengthen you and comfort you. Oppression shall not rise again the second time.

Quote:  I cannot fear when it is my Father that own the future.

Prophetic Word:        Let the flood gate of hope rush into your bosom, in  Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1.      I silence the fear of the future creeping into my heart, in Jesus name.

2.      Father Lord, fortify me to hold firm unto you, in Jesus name.

3.      I prophesy: Year 2018 shall be greater for me, in Jesus name.

4.      Holy Spirit, move over year 2018, in Jesus name.

5.      In year 2018 I declare, I am a super winner, in Jesus name.
