Bible Reading: Hebrews 5:12-14, 2 Peter 1: 5-8

Memory Verse You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.  Hebrews 5:12 (NLT)

Hebrews 5:12 (GNT) says, “There has been enough time for you to be teachers–yet you still need someone to teach you the first lessons of God’s message. Instead of eating solid food, you still have to drink milk.” Imagine the burden of Apostle Paul when writing this. Friend, you need to grow.

4. Walk with like minds: Proverbs 13:20 (GNT) says, “Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined.” Your company determines your destination. In this kingdom, like minds attract, unlike minds repel. You can’t be following a lion, and will not develop a lion heart. Be careful of the people, including Christians that you allow into your space. Be sure they are founded on genuine faith without any compromise. Who mentors you matters because you will surely drink from his/her spirit.

5. Flex your spiritual muscles: Evangelism is the heartbeat of God. As you win more souls to the kingdom of God, He grants you access into His secret chambers in heaven. He that wins a soul is wise, and shall shine like the firmament (Daniel 12:3).

6. Be a committed worker: Until you are committed to the things of the kingdom of God, the kingdom of God may not find sufficient expression within you. As you serve God sacrificially in your local assembly, you see yourself grow more into God’s image and likeness. This is a great mystery.

7. Seek deeper revelation of the Son of God: You will think Peter should have a better revelation of Jesus than Paul because of the former’s proximity to Jesus. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so. Paul had a deeper personal revelation of who Jesus is, and consequently did greater exploits. A 2-year-old Christian may grow and know more of Jesus than a 10-year-old Christian. It is all about the quality of their depth of encounter and personal revelation of Jesus.

Quote:  Proximity with Jesus does not always equate revelation of Jesus.

Prophetic Decree: May your inner man blast open for a daily revelation of Jesus.

Prayer Focus

1. O Lord, baptize me with a greater burden for kingdom evangelism.

2. I receive a deeper revelation of whom Jesus is, and His finished work on the Cross, in Jesus mighty name.

3. Holy Spirit, please magnetize men and brethren that will spark the fire of revival and consistency in my walk with you, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit, please take me deeper. Help me to have a deeper revelation of Jesus, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to spend and be spent for Jesus, in Jesus mighty name.
