Bible Reading: Psalm 144: 11-15

Memory VerseExamine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 2 Corinthians 13:5 (ESV)

This year, be wary of:

1. Procrastination (Ecclesiastes 11:4): This is the act of pushing what could be done today into the future. This is one character defect that has reduced the quality of life of so many people. Why should you push, what can be done now later into the future? You simply lack self-discipline and self-motivation. Office files left untreated, assignment left undone, life changing certifications left ungotten, house chores left undone, etc., because of procrastination.  Procrastination is a very clever thief of time, and inadvertently destiny. Without self-discipline you cannot be a high achiever. There will always be a need to push yourself if you must achieve your vision. Don’t leave your life to chance in Year 2023. Don’t wait to be motivated to do the needful. Discipline is living and doing as demanded, and not as convenient.

2. Bad friends / Bad company (1 Corinthians 15:33): This is the fastest catalyst to vision destruction anybody can have. Show me your friends and I will tell you who you really are. A sheep that walks with a goat will surely eat faeces. Even diffusion occurs in solids after a long period of time. In this Year 2023, deliberately say No to any friend that has become a clog in the wheel of the progress of your destiny. Flee from friends without a godly vision! Why should you move with a friend that encourages you to smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, take drugs, marry a second wife, follow a strange woman, watch pornography, masturbate. Friends that encourage lewd lifestyle, illicit sex, drugs (weed, tramadol), voyeurism (the practice of gaining sexual pleasure from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity), truancy, gambling, a lifestyle of living above your means, Yahoo Yahoo, Yahoo plus, Yahoo plus plus, partying, stealing your parents’ money, selling your parents properties while they are still alive, cultism, etc., are a focus breaker, vision strangers and ultimately, destiny killers. Avoid them.

Quote: Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken – WarrenBuffett

Prophetic Decree: Never again shall you be the architect of your own misfortune, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Focus

1. This Year 2023, my life shall turnaround for good, in Jesus’ name.

2. Blood of Jesus, break the spirit of procrastination in my life, in Jesus’ name.

3. I bind and cast out every foundational spirit of laziness, in Jesus’ name.

4. I receive the spirit of love, power and sound mind, in Jesus’ name.

5. I reject the spirit of Jonadab that sponsors bad friendship, and I attract the spirit of Jonathan that sponsors good friendship, in Jesus name.
