Memory Verse: The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:16b (AMP)

Pastor Yonggi Cho was once asked by a local pastor why was it that Cho’s church membership was 750,000 and his was only 3,000 when he was better educated, preached better sermons and even had a foreign wife? Cho enquired, ‘How much do you pray?’ The pastor said, ‘Thirty minutes a day.’ Pastor Cho replied, ‘There is your answer. I pray from three to five hours per day.’ By the enablement of the Holy Spirit plus personal discipline you must keep praying. Know for sure you are talking to a living God who hears your prayers, not your feelings about the prayers.

Have a prayer commitment daily above your feelings. 1 John 5:14 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”. When you pray according to God’s will, God hears. And how do you pray according to God’s will? Simply by praying the scriptures; praying in line with what the Bible says and praying in the Holy Ghost. PRAY TILL YOU FEEL LIKE PRAYING.

If you are waiting for feelings to start, you might never pray, but if you start, feelings will come along the way. Get up, start to worship, sing a hymn, sing praises, tell Jesus how much you love Him, appreciate Him, remind Him of the good He has done for you, He’s doing and He will continue to do, and thereafter, blast in tongues.

IF YOU STILL DON’T FEEL LIKE PRAYING, DON’T STOP. PACE AROUND AND PRAY OUT LOUD. DON’T PRAY SILENTLY. DON’T PRAY IN YOUR MIND. HEAR YOURSELF PRAYING AND SINGING AND BLASTING IN TONGUES. DO IT SUFFICIENTLY LONG AND YOU WILL SOON HIT A GUSHER WHERE YOU CAN’T STOP ANYMORE.

Prophetic Decree: I command every garment of prayerlessness upon our life to roast to ashes, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I repent of my prayerlessness, in Jesus name.

2. Fresh appetite for prayer, come upon me, in Jesus name..

3. I receive the garment of prevailing prayers in Jesus name.

4. I rebuke any person, power or personality weakening my prayer life, in Jesus name.

5. I receive wisdom to balance my work-life, in Jesus name.

6. I reject the spirit of laziness, in Jesus name.
