Bible Reading: Proverbs 21: 1-2
Memory Verse: Young women of Jerusalem, promise me never to awaken love before it is ready. Songs of Solomon 8:4 (CEV)
- There lived a woman who wanted her husband to love her. So, she decided to go meet a herbalist who prepared a concoction and instructed that she must take the bitter concoction with hot pap. Hot pap with bitter concoction? That is the price she has to pay if she wants the red-hot love of her husband? Who told you the people of darkness don’t pay prices? You will be amazed by what they do. Unfortunately, she has forgotten that, “In the LORD’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.” Proverbs 21:1 (NIV).
- At another time, two women wanted a particular man to marry them. So, they decided to go diabolic. One visited an herbalist with the picture of the man. Of course, the herbalist charged some money for his services. Unknowingly, the other woman visited the same herbalist. When she gave the herbalist the picture of the same man, his heart sank. The herbalist sincerely told her that if she wants him to undo what he has already done, she will have to pay him a higher amount than the first woman. Indeed, the way of the transgressor is hard.
- Young lady, don’t think by giving that man your body, you will tie him down ONLY for yourself. Don’t think by getting pregnant for him, he will marry you. First, it shows you are cheap and overtly desperate. Are you aware that most “rough men” will want to have decent women for a wife? They won’t mind a virgin as a matter of fact. Sister, don’t sell your birthright.
- The other time, a pious Christian lady who was too desperate to settle down with a rich young man voluntarily settled with a Yahoo boy. She parried all the other Christian suitors who came for her hand in marriage because they were not rich. She was believing God that he will soon get born again. Don’t be deceived, only the Holy Spirit can convict. Her lust for money landed her destiny in a dungeon.
Dear sisters, be careful of what you call love. Are you in love or in mere infatuation? Stop being desperate. The heart of a king belongs to God. If he is yours then he is yours.
Quote: If you desperately marry him then you will have to desperately keep him.
Prophetic Decree: God, who is love shall abide in your union, in Jesus name.
