Bible Reading: Proverbs 28:13, Hebrews 12:24, Hosea 12:13

Memory VerseAnd now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Exodus 3:9 (ESV)

Your freedom is guaranteed in Christ even as you observe the following steps:

1. Repentance from every known sin (Prov. 28:13): If you do not close the door to the enemy, he will surely come back, this time more deadly. Repent from all talkativeness, pride of grace, unfriendly friends, alcoholism, addiction to drugs, pornography, masturbation, etc, and accept Jesus into your life if you have not done so.

2.  Cry for mercy: The children of Israel in Exodus 3:9, Blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:47 etc, both cried to God for mercy before they saw his hand of deliverance.

Quick Facts About The Mercy of God:

a. A journey of 400 years could become 430 years if mercy refuse to speak early (Psalm 90:14).

b. Mercy provokes cheap victory.

c. Mercy provokes cheap restoration.

d. Mercy is the forerunner of favour (the children of God didn’t leave Egypt empty).

e. The captive becomes the captor and the captor becomes the captive; the oppressor becomes the oppressed and the oppressed now the oppressor when mercy speaks.

3. The Blood of Jesus: This is perhaps one of the most important weapons in our spiritual armoury as Christians. It is both a defensive weapon and an offensive weapon. The Blood of Jesus does not only speak but it speaks better things. The blood was the final stroke that broke the camel’s back in Egypt.

4. Obey specific instructions: That battle seed the Holy Spirit impress strongly in your heart to sow may be the jackpot from all your long age oppressions. God told Isaac to stay in the land of famine and He blessed him there (Genesis 26: 1-3, 13-14).

5. Serve God: Those who serve God despite their circumstance will surely secure their deliverance plus the blessings from their arrears and dividends. Your service to God is your surest security. Exodus 8:1 “And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.”

6. Break every known and unknown curses and covenants.

7. Engage the ministry of a GENUINE prophet. Read Hosea 12:13
