Bible Reading: Psalm 8: 4-6

Memory Verse:  Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2 (NIV)

How Do You Activate Your Angels?

1. Work in angelic consciousness: What you don’t believe may not be for your taking. You must have this mindset: I am not alone. I am surrounded by a host of angels. (Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 8:4-6).

2. Stay on your purpose: Like unto Zechariah, serve God unashamedly in the area of your divine assignment. Die at your post, not minding what is not working in your life. Zechariah was a faithful high priest who was barren for many years till old age. It was in the process of continuous faithful service that his angel of good news appeared. Who shall separate you from the love of the Father? Again, What shall separate you from the love of the Father? If you stay long enough serving God’s purpose for your life with all diligence (not pursuing your own agenda), surely, your angel of good news shall meet you on your duty post someday (Luke 1:5-19).

3. Live a holy life: Holiness is the nature of God. Mary kept herself pure in her teenage years, and consequently, attracted an angelic visitation (Luke 1:26-28).

4. The mercy and favour of God: He will have mercy upon whom He will have mercy. Mary wasn’t the only virgin in her days who kept herself pure. There must have been other chaste teenage young girls in her days. Coupled to her chastity, was the favour of God. Luke 1:28 says, “Angel Gabriel appeared to her and said, ‘Greetings, favoured woman! The Lord is with you!‘

5. An atmosphere of praises especially in times of trouble: This was the secret of Paul and Silas. It takes a renewed way of thinking and a unique way of spiritual understanding to praise God in trouble. As they praised God, the Lord of host, who inhabits the praises of His people did not only come to the prison, but also came with heavenly entourage of angels (Acts 16:25-26).

6. Intercession: When James was arrested by king Herod in the prison, the early church didn’t pray, and consequently, he was killed. Perhaps they were trusting God for a change they weren’t willing to provoke. Prayer is earthly permission for heavenly interference. As soon as Peter was arrested, the early church humbled themselves, and began to pray until angels were mobilized to bring him out of prison (Acts 12: 5, 1-17). Do you want to mobilize angelic support in anything you do? Then, prayer without ceasing, must become your lifestyle. 

7. Be hospitable:  Care for strangers, orphans, widows, people in distressed community, etc. Abraham was known as a father of faith. Until he was able to discern the three heavenly beings that appeared as visitors and entertained them, the prophecy of a promised Isaac was not established. Even Sarah in her unbelief couldn’t stop the declaration of the heavenly visitors (Gen.18:1-15).

Prophetic Decree: By the power that disgraced the expectations of Herod and his four quaternions of soldiers, your prison gates are opened.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to work in the consciousness of angelic beings ministering unto me, in Jesus name. 

2. I receive grace to stay on my divine purpose until my messenger of goodnews appear, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to live a pious and holy life attractive enough to magnetise angelic assistance in Jesus name.

4. By the mercy and favour of God, my angel of goodnews shall magnetise favour unto me, in Jesus name.

5. Fire of prayer, spirit of hospitality, and grace to praise in times of trouble, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.
