Bible reading: Philippians 3:12-15

Memory Verse: “…but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” Philippians 3:13b (NKJV)

One day, a school teacher wrote on the board the following: 3×1=3, 3×2=5, 3×3=9, 3×4=12, 3×5=15, 3×6=18, 3×7=21, 3×8=24, 3×9=27, 3×10=30.

When he was done, he looked back at the students and they were all laughing at her because of the second equation which was wrong.

Then the teacher said the following, “I wrote the second equation wrong on purpose, because I wanted you to learn something important. This was for you to know how the world will treat you! You can see that I wrote the right thing nine times, but none of you congratulated me for it. But you all laughed and criticized me because of one wrong thing I did”.

The lesson is that the world will never appreciate the good you do a million times, but will criticize one wrong thing you do. Many times, bad news spread faster than good news. So, don’t get discouraged! Learn to rise above all the scornful laughter & criticism. Don’t look up to man; look up to God!

Quote: I don’t stop when I’m tired; I stop when I’m done.

Prophetic Word: Receive grace to surmount all criticism and hearsay, in Jesus name.
