Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20

Memory Verse:  Why spend money on what does not satisfy? Why spend your wages and still be hungry? Listen to me and do what I say, and you will enjoy the best food of allIsaiah 55:2 (GNT)

Illicit drugs refer to substances that are illegal to possess or use. These can include:

I. Naturally occurring substances such as cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.

II. Synthetic drugs such as methamphetamine, ecstasy (MDMA), and fentanyl.

III. Prescription drugs used illegally, such as opioids and benzodiazepines.

The use of illicit drugs can have serious health consequences, including addiction, overdose, and death. It can also lead to legal problems.

Synthetic Kush is a dangerous synthetic drug that has been wreaking havoc in West Africa, particularly in Sierra Leone. It is a mixture of cannabis, fentanyl, tramadol, formaldehyde, and potentially other harmful substances. This drug is highly addictive and can cause severe health problems, including overdose and death.

Similarly, the Kensington neighbourhood in Philadelphia, USA, is notorious for its open-air drug market and severe drug addiction crisis. This crisis has been ongoing for several years, with open drug use, discarded needles, and associated crime becoming commonplace in the area.

Teenagers and young adults must be particularly careful of youthful exuberance that could lead to illicit drug use. If you want a bright future, stay away from drugs. I watched a video where young adults mess up their lives due to illicit use of drugs. Many of them live in slums having dropped out of schools. Under the influence of these drugs, they stumble into sewage ways unconsciously, yet sleeping comfortably in dirty waters unknowingly.

What a diversion of destiny! Brethren, illicit drugs will ruin your destiny. Flee, I say flee! It usually starts with few cigarettes until it grows uncontrollably wild leading to deep addiction. One way to ensure you aren’t a part of drugs is to bring Jesus to the centre of your life, and watch the types of friends you work with both at school, your neighbourhood and even in Church. There are wolves in sheep clothes. Be warned.

Quote:  You either flee from illicit drugs or illicit drugs destroys you.

Prophetic Decree:  No weapon from the pit of hell shall destroy you, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the Redeeming power in the Blood of Jesus.

2. I come against every evil addiction to drugs, in Jesus name.

3. I destroy any altar sponsoring destiny destruction for my children, in Jesus name.

4. I break the power of substance abuse over my children, in Jesus name.

5. Triggers of drug addiction within and around me, be silenced in Jesus name.

6. I quench any demonic appetite for drugs, in Jesus name.
