1. In science: According to a publication by ‘Science Advances,’ Scientists in China have developed a real-life invisibility cloak. This groundbreaking camouflage material has the remarkable ability to dynamically adjust its molecular composition to seamlessly blend with its surroundings, potentially rendering the wearer invisible to the naked eye. This mechanism is similar to the natural camouflage abilities observed in chameleons and octopuses.
2. In medicine: In March 2019, Professor Mashudu Tshifularo, a South African doctor at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, performed the world’s first successful middle ear transplant using 3D-printed bones. In entrepreneurship: In a podcast, I heard a man who doubles as an entrepreneur and a pastor say that what made him successful in the real estate business raking in billions of naira in a short time is simply because he brought in a disruptive factor (introduced business strategies that were uncommon).
5. In business: Product innovation involves the development of a new product, or the enhancement of an existing one, strategically crafted to address customers’ needs in a unique and innovative manner. Apple in the area of phones, and Tesla in the area of Electric Vehicles are good examples in this regard.
6. In academics: Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash is the World’s Fastest Human Calculator. He redefined mental maths. He has the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, square, cube, square root, cube root complex calculations. Bhanu’s math ability can only truly be fathomed with a demonstration.
7. In biotechnology: Needles may soon be a thing of the past. Scientists created a vaccine cream that triggers the same immune response as a shot — simply by rubbing it onto the skin.
