Bible Reading: Psalm 32: 8-9

Memory VerseThe heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs16:9(ESV)

How do you feel when one of your children is taking the work God committed into your hands to a higher level having served you faithfully? Late Pastor John Osteen definitely falls into this description. Six days after he persuaded his son, Joel who had always worked behind the scene to preach his first message in Church, he died. Lakewood Church has since increased in leaps and bounds. Here are few inspiring words from Pastor Joel Osteen:

1. We grow during difficult times. We grow when we have to stretch our faith, believe when we don’t see things changing. Those are very important times. If what you’re praying about isn’t changing, then God is using that situation to change you.

2. When you don’t see a way, instead of getting discouraged, you have to remind yourself, “The God we serve is not looking for a door; He’s not hoping to find the door. He is the door.”

3. Healing comes when you get outside of yourself and help others. Comfort those that are going through what you’ve been through.

4. Quit remembering what God has forgotten. Quit telling Him how bad you are, how messed up you are, and how you lost your temper. He forgave you way back when you asked. Start receiving God’s mercy. Mercy covers your mistakes.

5. You have to be mature enough to know when to resist and when to rest. You’re not supposed to fight every battle. God uses betrayals, closed doors, disappointments to move you into your purpose.

6. Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you are going to live your life.

7. Why don’t you start believing that no matter what you have or haven’t, your best days is yet to come.

8. When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.

9. God didn’t make a mistake when He made you. You need to see yourself as God sees you.

10. It is God’s will for you to live in prosperity instead of poverty. It’s God’s will for you to pay your bills and not be in debt. 11. You are going to go through tough times – that’s life. But I say, ‘Nothing happens to you, it happens for you.’ See the positive in negative events.

Prophetic Decree: Your children shall be greater than you, in Jesus name.
