Bible Reading: Matthew 1:1-17
Memory Verse:But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Matthew 15:13
Very many years ago, a brother got a visa to go to South Africa. A friend called him that he could get him a visa to the UK. He gave him his passport to go do the processing. His friend came back a day after the South Africa visa expired with no UK visa. He had lost on both sides. He became puzzled and spiritually more sensitive. He perceived something was wrong somewhere. He decided to probe into his family history. This is what many in this present day generation have refused to do. We take many things for granted. Ask questions. Probe into your family and the family of your fiancé or fiancée before you tie the knot. History has a way of repeating itself.
You can capture the future and knock out the devil out of the scene if you know your family history. Little wonder why the Bible gave detailed information about many genealogy; including that of Jesus (Matthew 1). Our dear brother discovered that he was coming from a Muslim background and the only place anyone successfully travelled to was Mecca, in Saudi Arabia. No one dare lift up his head to travel to any other country. His aunt who travelled to France was “enfranchised” with a terminal disease until they brought her home. She was a victim of spiritual ignorance and paid greatly for it. There was an evil law backed up with a covenant and a curse in his family.
Pronto, he went into aggressive spiritual warfare. Friend, if your don’t fight with the devil that limited your parents, he will muster greater strength to deal with you and your children. Shout this prayer at the top of your voice: Evil embargo in the (mention your family name) family, break, in Jesus name. Today, the prey has been taken away from the mighty and the lawful captive delivered (Isaiah 49:25). Today, he travels from one country to another with the gospel of Christ. This is the family history of a great man of God in Nigeria.
Friends, the powers of your father’s house do not respect your anointing; infact, they are attracted to it. Has the devil stolen, killed or destroyed anything in your life? Recovery is by fire and by force. In some families no one ever becomes an high flyer. In some families, all the married female children must come divorced back to their father’s house. In some families, it is delayed marriage. In some others, it is slow progress, or backwardness or failure at the edge of breakthrough. In some families,
it is the wife that becomes the bread winner. In some families, the first male child doesn’t go to the University. In some families, they hardly give birth to female children. If they do, she suffers one infirmity or the other.
Assignment: Pray and ask God to show you your family root. You can also make some personal consultation from your parents and elders.
Quote: Fight them before they fight you. Conquer your root.
Prophetic Decree: What stopped others shall not stop you, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Deliverance fire of God, enter into my root, in the name of Jesus.
2. Holy Spirit show me deep and secret things about my family I need to know.
3. Ancient secrets about my family line, be exposed and disgraced in Jesus name.
4. Idols of my father’s house causing havoc and demanding for my worship, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. My life, carry fire, become fire, receive fire, in the name of Jesus.
