Today, we shall conclude on this series. The third proven way to be light to your world and salt on earth is via the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:24 says “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” Many have embraced one aspect of the gospel at the expense of another. Be Christ-like in character even as you contend for His power and His wisdom. It was the outbreak of the power of God in Acts 4:13-20 that made all to believe that even though Peter and John were unlearned and ignorant men, they had been with Jesus. They agreed that a notable miracle had been done when a man who had always been at the beautiful gate got healed.
The power of God herald the glory of God to a generation. No wonder the Bible says, “If this people do not see signs and wonders, they will not believe.” One easy way to convert many sinners is simply by demonstrating the power of God. Friends, we must contend for the power of God. Pastor Ojo once shared his encounter with a wealthy man from another faith whom he met at a supermarket. He confronted him headlong. “Your Jesus is not Lord”, he said to him. The Pastor refuted vehemently quoting several scriptures to buttress his point. He stopped the man of God from leaving for his car. He picked up his phone to make a call. Few minutes later, a mad lady who happened to be his daughter appeared before the both of them in a car. “Sir, this is what I have been dealing with for several years.
If you know your Jesus is not merely a prophet but Lord over all, heal her”. Waoh! What a confrontation! Our dear Man of God called on His God, commanding the spirit of insanity to check out, and that was it! The lady slept for almost three days, and gained back her sanity. Today, the man and his entire household have surrendered their lives to Christ. Dear friend, if you must be relevant in this End-time ministry as light of the world and salt to the earth, you must connect to the power of God. Psalm 110:3a (KJV), “Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power…” Men shall be willing to do what? Give their lives and heart to the Lord when they see the raw demonstration of the power of God.
Quote: “If you seek the wisdom of God in isolation from the power of God, you will dry up. If you seek the power of God in isolation from the wisdom of God, you will blow up. If you seek the wisdom of God together with the power of God, you will grow up.”
Prophetic Decree: I rebuke anything standing against you and the power of God in your life, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Thank you Father for your light and salt in my life.
2. My Father in your mercies, please open the gate of power unto me that I may enter, in Jesus name.
3. I receive grace to crucify my flesh daily that I may become the custodian of the power of God.
4. I receive grace to afflict my body with much prayer and fasting, in Jesus name.
5. I receive the mantle of the fathers of faith needed for the raw demonstration of the power of God to deliver to the outermost, in Jesus name.
