Bible Reading: Romans 8:28
Memory Verse: And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. Romans 8:28 (TLB)
In early 2021, a brand was ready to launch a new product in Peru. After shipping the product to suppliers across the country, the brand realised that it had sent out 300,000 cans to retailers with the letter ‘S’ omitted from its slogan ‘Disfrute’. Instead of “Disfrute” (which means Enjoy), they wrote “Difrute”.
They had three options:
1. Issue a recall.
2. Write a sad, sad Tweet.
3. Call their Creative Agency.
They picked 3, turning the typo into a game: Find the cans with the missing “*S*” and get a chance to win *S*cooters, *S*martwatches, *S*ix-packs, and other things with S. And viral they went. They sold 10,000,000 no’s of that product in one month – what they would usually sell in a year. No wonder Sallie Krawcheck said, “If you’re not making some notable mistakes along the way, you’re certainly not taking enough business and career chances.”
This is a great lesson on managing one’s mistakes in life. Make mistakes, but, never allow a bad situation take away your focus from greater possibilities. Get creative. Get support. Exceed your limits!!!
Furthermore, this is another lesson on the law of equivalent advantage which states that ‘anything that has the ability to bring you down has an equivalent ability to bring you up’. With God, your mistakes can turn around for a miracle. However, with a pessimistic mindset, a heart that easily gives up, a non-valiant heart, a chicken heart, a heart like the children of Ephraim who pulled back in the time of war, one’s mistakes may swallow one.
Psalm 78:9 (NIV) says, “The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle”. I am sure you don’t want this scripture to be your portion.
Mistakes are raw materials for a pending miracles. No matter how bad your mistakes may be, like Saul of Tarsus who looked his mistakes in the eyes and turned them around for kingdom good after his conversion, you can rise again and leave an enduring legacy.
Quote: Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to error that counts – Nikki Giovanni
Prophetic Decree: Powers feeding the altars of your father’s house with unpardonable mistakes shall be wiped off, in Jesus mighty name.
Prayer Focus
1. Sing the song: I can see everything turning around….. for my favour.
2. Decree: There is a comeback for my setback, in the name of Jesus.
3. Foundational powers sponsoring unpardonable mistakes and costly errors, dry up, in Jesus name.
4. Any altar sponsoring mistakes and errrors at the junction of my next level, new glory, and destiny opportunities, scatter by thunder, in Jesus name.
5. A miracle from my hitherto mistakes that will testify to the merciful hand of God in my life, my life is available, in Jesus name.
