Bible Reading: Romans 1:28, 2 Chronicles 7:14

Memory VerseSince these people refused even to think about God, he let their useless minds rule over them. That’s why they do all sorts of indecent things. Romans 1:28 (CEV)

Do you sometimes wonder when Africa will be great again? Egypt was once the centre of civilization. What revolution must happen that will change the orientation and fortune of this part of the world? Why should a continent be so blessed with abundance of human and intellectual capital plus a vast natural resource, yet, have little to boost of in terms of monumental development. This same Africans go to other continents and turn around their systems. I believe the answer is not far-fetched. It’s simply our value system. We are so wrong at what we prioritize and consider important.

Corruption is the root of our problems both within the leadership and amidst its citizen. Our poor value system has authorized continental demons to hold us legitimately in bondage. Our weaknesses are tokens of authorization for the various nefarious activities of evil spirits. Now, the problem just got complicated as we are dealing with both the spiritual and the psyche of men. It is in this continent you will see an internationally acclaimed ex-convict who is unashamedly taking a chieftaincy title. Let me ask you a question. How many African leaders have you seen resign from office honourably without force when a vote of no confidence is passed? Is prayer really our problem? Yes, we must pray.

The Bible says we should pray without ceasing. However, prayer without correcting our wrong mindset about integrity, dignity for human lives, patriotism, statesmanship, etc, will amount to one step forward but three steps backwards dichotomy. An Interim Management Committee was set up in one of the government parastatals in Africa and the depth of revelation that was unveiled will make you wonder if we are going anywhere.

A group of people continuously diverted the money meant for various developmental projects running into trillions of naira in less than six months. Please tell them that the judgement of God may be delayed in His mercies, but it can never be denied. Ecclesiastes 8:11 (ESV) says, “Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.” This is the mystery of self-imposed curse that transcends a generation. O Lord, do what only you can do in Africa and let it start WITH ME, in Jesus name.

Quote: The change we crave for as always resided in us as individuals.

Prophetic Decree: Continental demons over Africa, lose your grip and die, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. We repent of our sins as individuals and as a nation, in Jesus name.

2. Principalities ruling over Africa, die, in Jesus name.

3. Powers in charge of poverty, disillusioned leadership, corruption, idolatry, nepotism, pogrom, be wasted, in Jesus name.

4. Rulers of the darkness of this world, remove your blanket of darkness over Africa, in Jesus name.

5. Spiritual wickedness over Africa, die, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:   2 Corinthians 1-4
