Bible Reading: Romans 8:1-8

Memory Verse:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Do you wonder why the devil is called the accuser of the brethren? He never stops to speak words of defeat, failure, pain, and bad memories of our terrible past. His desire is to keep your focus on your mistakes of yesterday and blur your eyes to the glory of your future. Like it or not, man is fallible. At one point or the other, we all will make one mistake or the other. While we face the consequences of our mistakes, we must not allow them to define us. The ghost of your past must not overwhelm your future in Year 2020. Why should you suffer double loss?

You shouldn’t be trying to redeem your past mistakes and at the same time crippled about the future. “Condemnation is the strength of Satan.” – Pastor Korede Komaiya. Fortunately, there is an adequate provision for all our mistakes in the precious Blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus redeems, it cleanses, it washes, it purifies and it purges from all guilt. If you allow the devil to build a stronghold of guilt and condemnation in your heart, and continually confront you with what you did not do right in your past, then, the Blood of Jesus is perhaps a waste over your life. One person who should have died of condemnation and guilt considering his past reckless life is Apostle Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsus). Even Jesus acknowledged that he kicked against Him; persecuting His Church (Acts 9:5). Yet, he accepted the abundance of grace that is in the saving grace of Jesus and went ahead to fulfill maximally God’s plan and purpose for his life. He wrote almost two-thirds of the New Testament.

Condemnation is the overemphasis of what has been bought by the Blood of Jesus. Inside the covenant you have with Christ when you accepted Him as your Lord and saviour is an adequate provision for His sure mercy. Mercy prevails over judgement. Be strong, brother. Be bold, sister. Having restituted where you can, please face Year 2020 without guilt or pain. No man can successful drive a car looking at the rear and front mirror at the same time. Similarly, you won’t maximize Year 2020 with the condemnation of past years in your present pursuit. Let go and let God. Friend, it is a new dawn and God has promised to do a new thing. Break lose, break out, break through, and break forth into your glorious future in Year 2020. Your vision shall surely come to pass.

Beware: You give the devil, the accuser of brethren liberty to condemn you if you do not restitute.

Quote: If Satan ever reminds you of your terrible past, remind him of his terrible future in hell fire while you focus on your glorious future.

Prophetic Decree: I silence eternally the voice of condemnation, in Jesus name.
