Bible Reading: Psalm 42:2

Memory Verse:  “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 (NIV‬‬)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

It was William McDowell who sang, “There’s nothing like Your presence, Lord, All I want is to worship You.” That’s true! Minister GUC also sang, “I will put you in front, in front of my destiny, You’re all that matters.” As the Lord begins to lift you, you will discover that there’s nothing in this world that can truly satisfy the human soul.

Your many cars, your many designer clothes, money, connections, etc, cannot truly satisfy the void in your heart. You are from God, and you will remain for Him. Nothing can truly take the place of a divine being save God Himself.

Have you observed that after your last pay rise that made you so happy, few weeks later, you started desiring for more. Same you that was grateful for the increase is now thinking, ‘Perhaps the management could have done better.’ Such is the lustful heart of the soul of man!

Joe Kirby said, “Jesus healed people who were sick and fed people who were hungry. Because of that, great crowds were following Him. But He wanted them to know that who He was is greater than what He had to offer. God could have had wired us to need nothing, but instead, He made us dependent on things like food, water, oxygen, sleep, sunlight—and Him.

He designed this world intentionally, with specific needs and certain limitations. We are needy by default. Just as food and water are essential for human life, everyday realities point us to spiritual truths. We need Jesus even more than we need the essentials of life.

We can search for fulfilment in our work and relationships, as well as in money, fame, power, sex, achievement, and adventure. But it all results in emptiness. It’s all like chasing after the wind.

So let’s not just follow Jesus merely for what He has to offer, but for who He is. Let’s realise that this world will never satisfy, but we already have access to true nourishment.

We can come to Him to be filled because He is the bread of life.”

Quote: Come, buy without money – Isaiah 55:1

Prophetic Decree: Receive deliverance in your soul from every entanglement of this world, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Holy Spirit, please help me to know how empty I am without You.

2. Today, I humble myself, and rededicate myself to God, and for God alone in Jesus name.

3. Sing the song, “Eyes on Jesus,” by Minister GUC.

4. Bread of heaven, please fill me till I want no more, in Jesus name.

5. O Lord, please help my soul to focus on You till the end of time, and even in eternity.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Judges 13-15

HYMN: FILL MY CUP, LORD

1. Like the woman at the well, I was seeking

For things that could not satisfy.

And then I heard my Savior speaking—

“Draw from My well that never shall run dry.”

Refrain:

Fill my cup, Lord;

I lift it up Lord;

Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.

Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.

Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.

2. There are millions in this world who are seeking

For pleasures earthly goods afford.

But none can match the wondrous treasure

That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.

3. So my brother if the things that this world gives you

Leave hungers that won’t pass away,

My blessed Lord will come and save you

If you kneel to Him and humbly pray—
