Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 28:1-2
Memory Verse: If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the best of the land. Isaiah 1:19 (AMP)
God is a King Spirit. His words are laws. His words are powerful. Take a look at what happened at the garden of Eden. What do you think the devil was fighting when he talked to Eve? Simple. Obedience to the instructions of God as touching the do’s and don’ts governing their continuous stay in the garden. The serpent said, “Has the Lord said ye shall not eat of the fruits of the garden.” The devil did not really come to give Eve a new instruction but to trivialise the already standing divine instructions. Brethren, your continuous dominance in your garden of Eden, in your Promised land, in the place where God has tagged yours, in your home, in your school, in your business, and in your marriage, etc., is tied to diligently obeying ALL the instructions of the Lord.
Mind you, as you grow in your relationship with God, the instructions become even more specific, hence you must be more careful. You remember what stopped Moses from entering into the Promised land was just one specific instruction executed wrongly. God said, “take your rod and speak to the rock” but Moses, who seemed to be frustrated with the children of Israel and was used to striking his rod as a shepherd boy, stroke his rod twice. Consequently, he didn’t enter into the Promised land. He laboured for it. He sacrificed for it, but never entered therein (Numbers 20:7-12). No thanks to only one disobedience to divine instructions. May you not get overfamiliar with God’s instructions. Brethren, the closer you are to God, the more you must work with God in reverential fear. God is a respecter of no man. May mercy speak for you at the junction of disobedience. May the superimposing power of the Holy Spirit align you daily into the perfect will of God. Amen
Now to you: Many want to do business with God in deeper waters but they haven’t trained their spirit to obey simple everyday instructions from the Lord. If you can’t obey your parents/boss whom you see, how then will you obey God whom you cannot see? Simple instructions such as do not watch television at the wee of the night, restriction on screen time with your phone, be careful of the friends you walk with, read your Bible and pray daily, pay your tithes and offerings faithfully, etc, all seems to be a herculean task. How then do you grow in the Lord? Trust and obey.
Quote: Obedience to God is the summary of life.
Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to obey every word of God, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 16-17
Hymn: Trust and Obey
1. When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2. Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.
[Refrain]
3. But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
[Refrain]
4. Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.
[Refrain]
