Bible Reading: Mark 11:12-25, John 1:1

Memory Verse: Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job 22:28

According to the law of the Medes and Persians in the days of Queen Esther, the signet (signature) of a king represent an authority that cannot be reversed. As Christians, we have been made kings and Priests unto the Lord (Rev. 5:10). Our words are signets that are far greater than that of any Old Testament king. Where the word of a king is, there is power (Eccl 8:4).

There is power in the tongue. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. When you close your mouth, you indirectly give consent to whatever may be happening around you. Your mouth is the compass that navigates your life. Your mouth is connected to your destiny. If you want to direct a ship no matter how big it is, you use its control. In the same way, when you want to give direction to your life, you use your mouth. Naturally speaking, when you close your mouth for too long, it smells. In the same way spiritually, when you close your mouth to what the devil is doing in your life, your destiny degenerates.

However, you cannot remain in sin and expect your declaration to receive divine approval. You cannot use your mouth for backbiting, gossip, slander, etc, and expect the seal of heaven on your declarations. Confess, repent and maximize your authority in the Lord. Shalom.
