If every dart the devil throws at you rattles you, then you need more of the peace of God. Hear me beloved: Whether it is Jesus that is in the boat of your life or it is Jonah, one thing is common to both: there will be storm. However, with Jesus in your boat, the storms has only come to add to your catalogue of testimonies. Peace is one of the component of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is closely associated to an antidote for the storms (troubles) of life. Friend, the storms in your life has only come to proof you. Arise, and tell it that you have Jesus in your boat. Furthermore, one of the ways by which God speaks to us is through an unfathomable peace.
The Bible calls it, “Peace that passes all understanding” (Phil. 4:7). How can a religious fanatic put a gun on your head and you won’t deny God? The peace of God. You were sacked unjustly from your place of work and you weren’t rattled. That’s the peace the Holy Spirit can only give. You’ve just failed an examination but still hopeful. That’s the peace of God. Friend, you must understand the non-cognitive (non-vocal) voice of the Holy Spirit. God speaks but many Christians have not been trained to understand His voice both verbally and non-verbally; either way, He speaks.
It was Gideon that first understood the dimension of God called Jehovah Shalom (the Lord our peace). He was afraid when he was given the mandate to liberate the children of Israel from the grip of the Midianites who oppressed them (Judges 6). The Angel of the Lord showed him a sign, and his peace was restored even as he erected an altar of peace tagged Jehovah Shalom as a memorial unto the Lord. May the Lord appear in your situation today and show you a sign of peace in every trouble and storm of life, in Jesus name.

1. Jehovah Shalom (Judges 6:24), we thank You.
2. I speak peace to every marital storm, in the name of Jesus.
3. I speak peace to every academic storm, in the name of Jesus.
4. I speak peace to every financial storm, in the name of Jesus.
5. I command peace on all sides for me and my family, in Jesus name.
