Bible reading: 1 Samuel 3: 4-10

Memory Verse: Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8 (ESV)

Personal encounter is a definite and life – defining experience a person has with His Creator.

According to the Jewish historian Josephus, Samuel was about 12 years old when he had a definite encounter with God for the first time in Prophet Eli’s house (1 Samuel 3: 4-10). His life never remained the same after then. He heard God audibly as a man hear his friend.

Beloved, you aren’t too young to start having dangerous personal life transforming experiences with God. Our God is no respecter of persons, age, sex, colour or denomination. It’s all about you connecting to Him and fulfilling Biblical conditions.

God is in search of men and women like Samuel who will long after Him in the days of their youth.

Key Point: God is more willing to reveal Himself to you than you’re willing to know Him.

Praying the Scripture:

O Lord, my Father baptize me with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, that the eyes of my understanding be enlightened; and that I may know what is the hope of your calling, and the riches of the glory of  inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:17-18).
