Bible reading: 2 Cor. 5:6-10

Memory Verse: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NLT).

Personal responsibility means to be in charge or in control of an action or situation. Personal responsibility is the acknowledgement of the fact that you are personally responsible for what is happening in your life, in your surrounding, institution, nation and anywhere you find yourself. Personal Responsibility is when a person refuses to submit his/her life into the hands of another but would prefer to rather be a man/woman that provides for his/her own needs.

A student who failed an examination needs to take personal responsibility for his failure. Determine what caused the failure and courageously work harder to excel in such a subject.

A student coming from a home of abject poverty needs to take personal responsibility. Such need to break away from the foundational spirit of poverty, develop the mindset of the rich, learn a trade or profession and with perseverance, consistently pursue a dream.

One trapped in the web of fornication need to take personal responsibility. Ask God for forgiveness, propose in her mind never to sin anymore, and, burn the bridge that could make you go back to fornication.

Quote: “Action springs not from thought, but from a readiness for responsibility” Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Prophetic Word: Receive grace to take responsibility to greater heights, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. My journey shall be upward only, whether the devil likes it or not, in Jesus name.
  2. Heavenly catapault, take me higher, in Jesus name.
  3. Gate of hell fire, launched against my peace of mind, shut down, in Jesus name.
  4. I receive a valiant heart that does not quit until good success is attained, in Jesus name.
  5. I receive grace to pioneer a new dawn in my life, education, and family, in Jesus name.
