PORNOGRAPHY CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE (2)

PORNOGRAPHY CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE (2)

Bible Reading: 1 Cor. 10:13, Prov. 6:25, 1 Cor. 6: 15-20

Memory Verse: Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 (AMP)

Other ways pornography can ruin your life include:

Truth #3: Pornography will Destroy your Marriage: Those who view porn tend to have less desire for their own spouse. When your spouse discovers your porn viewing habits, trust is broken. Intimacy will decrease, leading to either years of rebuilding trust or losing your spouse’s trust and intimacy for good. A 2016 Science Magazine study revealed divorce rates double when people start watching porn. If your marriage is on shaky ground already, viewing pornography will only speed its demise. Furthermore, porn usage can lead to increased risk of infidelity which is another major cause of divorce.

Truth #4: Pornography can have Devastating Effects on your Children: A study by the Marriage and Religion Research Institute notes, “The impact of a parent’s use of pornography on young children is varied and disturbing. Pornography eliminates the warmth of affectionate family life, which is the natural social nutrient for a growing child”. Imagine your children stumble upon pornographic material a parent has acquired or encountering a parent masturbating, or overhearing a parent engage in ‘phone sex’? Pornography usage can ruin your life and the lives of your children.

Truth #5: Pornography Leads to other Sins: You almost got caught, so what did you do? You simply lied your way out of the situation. Misuse of financial resources and marital infidelity are other sins.

Above all: The most damaging impact is in your relationship with God. He sees every click of the mouse and every touch of the screen. Every second viewing porn is a second lost in fellowship with the Lord. “In my addiction, I frequently had days where I felt that I had spent more time seeking porn than serving Christ,” says one former porn addict.

Way out:

1. Genuine Repentance

2. Confide in your Pastor and spouse if you are married. (Proverbs 28:13)

3. Come boldly to the throne of grace (Heb. 4:16).

4. Destroy every ladder of sin (no internet or no porn friends).

5. Long meditation on the Word of God in order to renew your mind.

6. Fervent, heart-felt deliverance prayers.

7. Rely on God’s grace.

Quote: Jesus’ grace to change you is stronger than pornography’s power to destroy you. Jesus’ grace is stronger than your own desires to watch sex.

Prophetic Decree: I cast out the spirit of pornography out from your life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Jehovah Mekoddishkem, the Lord my Sanctifier, I thank You.

2. I repent and renounce the sin of pornography, in Jesus name.

3. Evil authority of pornography, break, in Jesus name.

4. I laminate my mind in the pool of the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.

5. I cast away mind demons holding my mind in captivity, in Jesus name.
