Bible Reading:  Psalm 150: 1-6

Memory Verse:  Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150:6 (NKJV)

As the year draws to an end, I hope you are careful to look back in retrospect thankfully. An attitude of gratitude will keep increasing your altitude. Irrespective of what has happened, beloved, a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the battles Jesus fought for you, known and unknown in the hour of the day and at night; for the numerous lifting and elevation, for the increase on every side, for the promotion at work,  for the success in your examination, for the change of status from Master to Mister, and from Miss to Mrs., for disappointing the counsel of the wicked enemies, for shaming those who said you will come beg them for food, for the deliverance he granted your children despite their waywardness, for the numerous journey mercies, for the peace in your home, for the new house he gave you, the new car he provided, for the new business Jesus opened for you, for suddenly changing your financial and academic status after many years in the wilderness,  and for all the short and long time prophecies which were fulfilled. The plan of the wicked is that you come back to beg them for bread, beg them for school fees, beg them for clothing.

For the deliverance God gave you from the strongman of your father’s house, the strongwoman in your environment,  the collusion of evil conspirators in your place of work. If you know how many people are circulating  your name on evil altars, you will thank God you are still alive, safe and sound.

I know there could be areas of your life that still need a touch of healing, deliverance, or power, but for the great blessings God has favourably rained upon you in the long journey of Year 2023 every hour, every minute and every seconds. Jesus deserves your praise.

You had better be grateful. Many are richer than you but money failed them. Many are more connected than you, but all their connections failed them when it mattered most. For the good health, we thank you, Lord. For the ability to lift our head, shake our body, wink our eyes, and dance with our body; we thank you, Lord. People don’t have to beat you before giving you food. For the sanity of your mental health – a sound mind in a sound body. We thank you, Lord. Today, I encourage you to put aside all the things that are yet to be fully formed in your life and thank Him for that which He has done. Everything living – plants, animals, and human beings are designed to give God praise at all times.
