Bible Reading: Psalm 63: 1-2

Memory VerseO God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will seek You; My soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1 (AMP)

How Do You Connect With The Power of God?

1. Desire / Hunger to see the power of God: Matthew 5:6 (NASB) says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.” Until your desire for the power of God is stronger than any of your earthly desires, you may not see the power of God in your life. You must have a desire/hunger strong enough to propel you to making other sacrifices as commanded by the Holy Spirit.

2. Prayer and fasting: Pray in understanding and pray in the spirit. You must love midnight prayers. If you want to see and walk in power, you must pray abundantly in the spirit. Paul the Apostle prayed in tongues more than the church of Corinthians, and he did great things. Apostle Arome Osayi usually say, “If you are 21years old and you haven’t prayed for 10hours stretch, you are a joker.”

3. The Word of God: You must become an addicted reader of the Word of God. There is fire in the Word of God. There is power in the Word, and the Word of God contains power. Hebrews 1:3 says, “…upholding all things by the power in His Word.”

4. Talk less: Our generation of Christians today talk too much. Many people are busy talking with men, so the Holy Spirit cannot talk with them. They are denying him access by being with men. Those who talk too much leak away the anointing they gather on the altar of prayer (James 1:19).

5. Control Screen time: Technology has become a very big threat to so many people’s destinies. Some people are so addicted to their phones watching unedifying contents and skits until God is blocked out completely. The Holy Spirit is a very jealous spirit. You won’t have his fullness without radical consecration (1 Corinthians 6:12).

6. Be led by the Spirit of God:If you want to see and walk in power, you must be led by the Spirit of God. You must train your ears to perceive the slightest whisper of the Holy Spirit in your ears (Romans 8:14).

7. Let your heart be filled with melody: If you want to see the power of God at work, you must fill your hearts with Spirit-filled songs/melody. Don’t wait for things to happen before you are happy. What you sow is what you reap, so release the seed of excitement and happiness; release the seeds of thanksgiving and merriment, and watch yourself eat the fruit of your labour (Ephesians 5:19-21)

8. Impartation: Elisha, having served Elijah for about two decades was imparted by the same Spirit, this time with a double anointing (2 Kings 2).

Quote: Power is the ultimate answer to all forms of oppression.

Prophetic Decree: Receivefresh power and fire to fulfil destiny, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. My Father, raise an altar of unquenchable hunger to see your power at work in my life, in Jesus name.

2. Fresh fire to pray and fast, over shadow me, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to be a voracious Word addict, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to be disciplined with my gadgets and mouth, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, possess my thoughts and my ways, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:  Ezekiel 5-8

Hymn: Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus

Daily let me go;

Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,

More of grace to know.

Refrain:

Oh, deeper yet, I pray,

And higher ev’ry day,

And wiser, blessed Lord,

In Thy precious, holy word.

2. Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,

Take me deeper still,

Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,

And His perfect will.

[Refrain]

3. Deeper, deeper! tho’ it cost hard trials,

Deeper let me go!

Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,

Let me fruitful grow.

[Refrain]

4. Deeper, higher, ev’ry day in Jesus,

Till all conflict past,

Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image

Perfected at last.

 [Refrain]
