Bible Reading: 2 Peter 2: 1-3
Memory Verse: And He said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of
prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Matthew 21:13

If you must see the Senior Pastor in some Churches, you will have to fill a form purchased
not by the Blood of Jesus but by Naira and Dollar brought in cash. Oh, you have not
heard about anointing oil sold for thousands of Naira. What about the special oil, sand,
and scarf from Jerusalem sold for only 10,000 (50 dollars) capable of magnetizing
favour! What about the numerous “fabricated miracles” on crusade grounds to gather
people and raise money? All these are vanity and the wrath of God is coming on such
people. Never has any generation abused the grace of God like ours.
The Church is gradually drifting to a position where everyone pays to hear the gospel
like cinema hall! What will happen to the poor that can’t afford the huge price? The
Gospel is to be preached free without charge. The Bible says, “Freely have you received
freely you must give.” Many ministers of the Gospel have forgotten how to live by faith
trusting God for their personal provisions. Beloved, I am confident of this one thing: No
one truly serves God begs for bread. Never! There is enough provision for every
assignment. God will never abandon a project He commissions. The Psalmist in Psalm
37:25 said, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread”. However, you have to be contented with God’s provisions for
you per time.
The woman with the issue of blood paid nothing. Blind Bartimaeus paid nothing. The
Syrophoenician woman paid nothing. Zacchaeus paid nothing. They all spent their faith
and their miracle was delivered. Jesus the miracle worker asked nothing in return.
“Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over
time” Proverbs 13:11 (NLT). They will exchange your soul for temporary fame and vain
glory. Young man, are you looking for fast means to become rich? Please be warned. True
riches come from the Lord.
Many of the Sport and entertainment stars whom you adore are living a borrowed life.
It may surprise you to know that some of them know exactly when Death will come for
them. They have exchanged their soul for riches and have signed a live contract with the
devil. Never make such a yardstick or a role model. Look into God from there comes your
help.

1. Father, forgive us as a church. Forgive us for making merchandise of your gospel, in
   Jesus name.
2. Father expose and disgrace fake ministers of the kingdom, in Jesus name.
3. We cast out the spirit of mammon from the Church of Christ in Jesus name.
4. Let the kingdom come, O Lord.
5. Oh Lord, restore your Church back to your divine original, in Jesus name.
