Bible Reading: Genesis 4: 1-7

Memory Verse: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce. Proverbs 3:9 (ESV)

There are deep mysteries in the Word of God. One of such mysteries is wrapped up in first fruit offering. A certain couple have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb. Medical Science reveals that both the husband and the wife have got some complications. The Lord inspired them to raise a sacrifice, particularly to drop their first fruit – first salary for the New Year. In a sudden twist, his wife got pregnant a delivered of a child in less than a year. They gave God their first FRUIT, and God blessed them with the FRUIT of the womb. Deep calls unto deep (Psalm 42:6). May the Lord reveal the key to your manifestation this Year 2023, in Jesus’ name.

The first battle Saul, the first king of Israel fought was against the Amalekites (1 Sam.15: 1-35). God gave him a specific instruction: Kill them all – both man and animal – everything living! The Amalekites represented Saul’s first fruit offering unto the Lord. They were to serve as a burnt offering unto the Lord. Saul failed the test when he had compassion on their king, and took the best of their animals for himself. Consequently, he lost the kingdom afterwards.

Cain and Abel are another example of first fruit offering has seen in the scriptures (Genesis 4: 1-7). Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice unto the Lord. He gave God the first of his produce with a good heart while the sacrifice of Cain was perhaps grudgingly, and therefore not accepted by God. 

Quote:  God is either first or He takes no place at all in your life.

Prophetic Decree: By the reason of your first fruit offering, your manifestation shall be evident this Year in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I repent of my disobedience and non-challance towards my first fruit offering, in Jesus name.

2. By the reason of my first fruit, my finances shall manifest this Year 2023, in Jesus’ name.

3. I receive grace to be a hearer and doer of today’s devotional, in Jesus’ name.

4. My Father, you have my permission, take over my life, my affections, and my harvest. Please help me to get you my first and my best, in Jesus’ name.

5. I refuse to give an unacceptable sacrifice like Cain. I receive grace to give sacrificially in love and joy like Abel, in Jesus’ name.

6. I shall not be rejected, in the name of Jesus.
