Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
Memory Verse: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
Can someone tell “the stars” of today that there was someone on stage before them? Can someone tell movie celebrities, footballers, prominent gospel ministers, and gospel musicians, etc, that fame today does not automatically translate to fortune. Listen, it shall soon come to pass that a new season will blow and new stars will emerge. The bitter truth is this: No one will forever be in the spot light. When Evangelist Billy Graham stepped down as the Pastor of many of the American Presidents who swore them into office, he told his spiritual son, Pastor Rick Warren that it was his time.
Our God is a God of times and seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NASB) says, “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.” Yesterday it was the time of Mr. A, Mr. B does not need to get envious because should he dare to follow his destiny time table under God, according to the time of life, he will also come to limelight if Christ tarries. Please take heed. There were movie stars who at the peak of their career were literally watched in every home. Today, some of them are dead, some of them have slid to oblivion, and some others have changed career course.
One ex-nigerian football star is now a Pastor. Such is life. Seasons come, seasons go. There are ex-beauty queens whose face are now badly damaged. Seasons come seasons go. There are once famous men of God who have kept a relatively low profile in the last few years. Seasons come, seasons go. There are one time bank executives who are now under great financial stress. Seasons come, seasons go. On the other hand, there are janitors who rose to the position of senior bank managers in the same company. Seasons come, season go. There are people from the minority tribe who became the monarch of an entire nation. Seasons come seasons go.
There are people who once hawked second hand clothes but now own boutique. Seasons come, seasons go. There are people who were once taxi drivers in foreign nation, but now owns multibillionaire dollar multinational companies. Seasons come, seasons go. Brethren, your understanding of the various seasons of life will work humility in you. Should God ever give you a platform, please guard it jealously. Use it strictly to the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind. Always remember: seasons come and seasons.
Quote: Life has many seasons—but they all pass – Carroll Roberson.
Prophetic Decree: Your glorious star shall not go dim, in Jesus name.
