Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:10

Memory VerseBut by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me has not been in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them—though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 (NRSV)

Many will display great potentials and will indeed succeed and do well, but few will be icons in their sphere of influence. Many will succeed in writing, but only a few will become a C. S. Lewis. Many will fight for freedom, but few will become a Mahatma Ghandi or Martin Luther King Jr. Many will be doctors and surgeons, but only few can become a Ben Carson. Hardwork can make you a great lawyer, but only sacrifice can make you a Nelson Mandela. Purity can make you a nun, but only service and sacrifice will make you a Mother Theresa. What are you ready to sacrifice legitimately in order to become an icon and a voice in your field?

Pain, ridicule, struggle, shame, ostracization, loneliness, etc, are all elements in the universal set called Sacrifice. Sacrifice will cost you something; something valuable, something that means a lot to you; your Isaac. Sacrifice means giving to the Lord whatever He requires of you such as your time, your earthly possessions, your energy, money, etc, in order to further His work.

In the dark world, they sacrifice to the devil in order to clinch a new height of power and influence, but this time for a crown that perishes. Haven’t you heard of people who sleep in the cemetery? I have over time shared with you what Yahoo plus plus guys do in order to “cash out”. The mantra which the devil uses is “No blood, no glory”. “Nothing goes for nothing”.

In the kingdom of God, we SACRIFICE IN LOVE with our talents, treasures, giftings, food, sleep, etc. Our prayers and fastings are also memorial sacrifices. Again, I ask you according to the volume of books that have been written concerning you: What are you willing to sacrifice in order to move forward?

EVANGELISM IS GOD’S HEARTBEAT.

GO, GIVE, AND GROAN TOWARDS IT.
