Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11

Memory Verse Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality. 1 Corinthians 6:9 (ESV)

Other sexual immorality include:

  • Pornography and Masturbation:  Collins Dictionary defines Pornography as books, magazines, and films that are designed to cause sexual excitement by showing or describing sexual acts. Someone refers to pornography as “the new drug.” The porn industry is worth an estimated massive $97 billion dollars, globally. Whether people know it or not, the porn industry is one of the more influential industries in the world. It shapes how countless kids and adolescents learn about sex and relationships, and due to its profitability, the porn industry is a driving force of sexual exploitation. Be warned and guard your heart with all diligence because out of it flows all the issues of your life (Proverbs 4:23). Never consider pornography as an option even in your most depressed state. It offers you anaesthetic only to transplant/substitute your heart for the heart of a beast. Usually, pornography is the mother of masturbation (excitation of one’s genitals) until such a person become a wolf in sheep clothing. Do you know there are sex toys? What a generation! Anyone who handles his sexual life outside of God’s divine counsel will surely suffer loss. Hebrews 13:4 (NLT) says, “Give honour to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.”

Children, teenagers and youths please listen to this: Songs of Solomon 8:4 (HCSB) says, “Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you: do not stir up or awaken love until the appropriate time.” Stop acquiring sexual skills you don’t need. Sexual compatibility is primarily about understanding between a husband and a wife in a holy matrimony. Wait for that right time. Many of those acting in porns are on drugs. Why should you allow them sexually disorientate you?

From his book, “Finally Free: Fighting for Purity with the Power of Grace”, Heath Lambert says:

1. Pornography is a plague that has destroyed countless lives and can also destroy yours. The sobering truth is that you do not have the resources to change within yourself.

2. Jesus’ grace to change you is stronger than pornography’s power to destroy you. Jesus’ grace is stronger than your own desires to watch sex.

3. Until God is your chief concern — until sinning against Him is what makes your heart break — you will never turn the corner.

Quote: Though the initial stages of temptation seem innocent, fun, and even enjoyable, eventually the sin of indulging in the adulterous woman of porn will take over your life and consume your time, your strength, and your body (Proverbs 5) – Heath Lambert

Prophetic Decree: Pornography shall not puncture your destiny, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you for your saving grace that delivers from every form of sinful addiction.

2. I purge my mind with the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.

3. I bring my mind under the dominion of Christ, in Jesus name.

4. I come against any altar fighting against my destiny, in Jesus name.

5. I present my body today as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable before God, in Jesus name.
