Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 3: 1-5

Memory Verse: Knowing this first, that in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts. 2 Peter 3:3 (DRB)

Today, let’s consider some strange things happening in our world and by extension in the Church that are indicative that Jesus is coming soon.             

1. Sometimes ago, there was a video of church members praying and armed with different weapons to ‘attack principalities and powers’. While some of the members were ‘armed’ with brooms, sticks, and machetes to destroy the devil and his cohorts, the leader of the prayer session was armed with a gun. Brethren, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are only mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

2. Isn’t this barbaric? Men and women now pay to watch boys and girls have sex with animals. Drugs, prostitution, and bestiality are on the rampage and worse still, amongst minors because poverty is on the rise and people have to make a living. Why take advantage of these little ones? What a wicked world! Boys and girls are usually high on drugs before performing these acts. After getting high, they are given a maximum of 20 minutes to sleep with the animals and the payment is usually very little.

3.  A man died and was buried in a grave- like room along with his tv, mirror, and others. A huge sum of money was also buried with him. Similarly, an Ugandan man was buried with money amounting to two hundred million Ugandan shillings (equivalent to $55,000). The cash was meant to appease God for the deceased’ s earthly sins. Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity. It is expedient for a man to die once, and after death is judgement.

4. There is a ‘prophet’ who allegedly sells soap in his Church that can wash away sins. The wash-away-sin soap was created and placed on the church altar for people to buy. With the heavy rise of so many fake men of God in the world now, believers have to be more careful and watchful to avoid falling into their traps.

5. A man is in his early 20s decided to inject himself with a deadly chemical. As expected, he got the body he needed, his muscles became so big, people even started calling him the Hulk. However, he soon developed some complications after some months. He fell ill more often, had severe headaches that didn’t go away even after taking medication, and eventually had to undergo a surgery which almost took away his life. Some risks are not worth taking, your life is more important than fame. You are wonderfully and fearfully made. Be proud of how God has made you. Similarly, are you planning a cosmetic surgery around your hip, breast or buttock? Please have a rethink..

Prophetic Decree: May the good Lord severe your heart away from the corruption of the End-Time, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus 

1. My Father expose and disgrace all unrepentant false prophets and prophetess who are gods over their own bellies, in Jesus name.

2. By the mercies of God, I shall not be deceived into the corruption of this age, in Jesus name.

3. My Father, please grant me a greater level of discernment, in Jesus name.

4. I reject the foul spirit of the End time that works in the children of disobedience, in Jesus name.

5. Quest for fame and vain glory, die in my life, in Jesus name.
