Bible Reading: Proverbs 16:5,James 4:6

Memory Verse: But He gives a greater grace: Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” James 4:6 (NASB)

If there is anything you must trust God to conquer is pride in every form/disguise. Pride in your words, pride in your heart, pride in your thinking, pride in your gesticulation, pride in your head, and even pride of your spiritual walk with Christ Jesus. Really, pride could be very subtle. It takes a level of God’s dealings in our hearts to agree to the promptings of the Holy Ghost in the area of your pride.

Beloved, the truest sign of a genuine encounter is humility. If truly you have met God, such experience(s) will humble you. Infact, there are some encounters too deep to be shared. There are some encounters that can only be shared in passing, and there are some encounters that must never be shared with any mortal man or only with very selected few people in old age. Receive grace to decipher, in Jesus mighty name.

Don’t think because you pray long, fast long, and you abstain from sexual immorality you are automatically one who should be regarded as a spiritual man or woman. Spirituality is a walk with the Spirit of God, and not a walk initiated by the flesh. Don’t be too quick to lift your shoulder up! If you are truly spiritual you will know how miserably dependent a man is. Of what use is a spirituality that despises the weak, hate his neighbour, easily puffed up, quick to anger, not abounding in great mercy, and not dependent on the will of the Spirit?

Prayer Focus 

1. Final Authority, I thank You

2. The God of all humility, I give You praise.

3. O Lord, please reveal to me the various aspects of my life where I need to be humble, in Jesus name.

4. I put on the garment of humility in the name of Jesus.

5. I receive grace to humble myself before the carrier of the Oil that will change my story, in Jesus name.
