Bible ReadingProverbs 4: 5-7

Memory VerseGet wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Proverbs 4:5 (NIV)

There is a criteria for evaluating and scoring any University student who is standing before a panel of judges for a final year project defense. There is a column and mark for dressing, presentation of project, answers to questions, time management, etc. Now, let’s assume only 10 marks is allotted for dressing and here comes a student with a 3-piece designer suit as recommended.

Do you think the panel will add an extra mark to the 10 marks in order to appreciate his dressing? Obviously not. That is what is meant by quota. By quota, we mean “sharing formula”. Even in politics where a nation is multi lingual and multi-cultural, wise leaders also adopt the quota system in order to achieve equity and fairness. Dear brethren, I have come to understand that certain things in the realm of the spirit also operate along this line. There is a quota system allotted for blessings from your parents, your spiritual father, kingdom service, giving to the poor, forgiveness, etc.

Sometimes ago, a sister went complaining to her Pastor that things were hard for her. This sister was very fervent in the Lord. As the man of God prayed, God opened his eyes. She refused to forgive her husband who did her wrong. That singular act was speaking against her open heavens. Really, sometimes it is very hard to forgive, but know for sure you do yourself greater harm holding back. Even though she was very fervent, the blessings attached to her couldn’t get to her until she fulfilled the requirements assigned to the quota of forgiveness. Offence is one instrument the devil uses to rob us of our blessings. We need understanding in this Christian race.

That aside, a spiritual father once called his spiritual son very early in the morning. He told him that heaven showed him a red light at night over him. He went further to ask him what was wrong with his relationship with his biological father. He gave him a stern warning. If you will dare push aside the hurt of yesterday, embrace your dad, take care of him, shower him with love, and above all make his soul well please with you, the quota of prosperity only obtainable from a father to son will flood the gates of your life. It worked as prophesied. Really, what you don’t know may be responsible for your woeful present situation. Receive understanding in Jesus name.

Quote: Spiritual laws are powerful. Once triggered, it produces expected result.

Prophetic Decree: Receive an understanding heart, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Open my eyes of understanding to deep secrets that will move my life forward, in Jesus name.

2. O Lord, open my ears of hearing to deep secrets that will push me to abundance, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, deliver me from myself, in Jesus name.

4. I rebuke all the silent activities of witchcraft, in Jesus name.

5. I come against the spirit of offence in Jesus name.
