Respectfully speaking brethren, I have seen people who have spent over five (5) decades on the face of the earth yet without a strong conviction of their purpose. They keep dabbling into just anything they think can bring them money. Stop playing games with your destiny. Wisdom is not always in age. It is one thing to grow up, and it is another thing to grow old. Josiah became a king at 8 years and Methuselah died at 969 years without any tangible record.
Let’s be sincere with ourselves. Some people need to free themselves from all activities in order to be with the Lord alone for some weeks with only one prayer point in their mouth: O Lord, show me my purpose; the reason why You created me, and grant me strategy and grace to fulfill it. The scripture cannot be broken. The night comes when no man can work anymore (John 9:4b). There are litmus tests to know why God has created you. These include: Your passion. Your talents. Your skills. Your grace. Etc. But, I beseech you brethren, the best way to know why you are here on earth is to understand what the Spirit of God is saying to you expressly.
I have come to understand that your passions atimes could be misleading. Had I followed my passion, perhaps I won’t be the one writing this devotional. The aforementioned are only litmus tests. In qualitative analysis in O’level Chemistry, further tests are required after the litmus test to ascertain the precise elements present in a chemical mixture. Spiritually, that further test is your ability to perceive what God is saying particularly to you. This is most important. Mind you, sometimes your purpose may not interest you initially, but as you follow God PERSISTENTLY, you will understand better. Teenagers and youths need to cry out: O Lord, show me who I am now that I am young, and grant me grace to fulfill it. Daddies and Mummies who probably have missed out in destiny can still tap into a dimension of mercy from above. Let them cry: Take me back to Bethel O God. O Lord, help me not to meet you empty handed. Grace!
Prophetic Decree: Receive grace and precision for divine direction, in Jesus name
Prayer Focus
1. O Lord, open my eyes of understanding to deep and mysterious mysteries about myself, in Jesus name.
2. My Father, take me by Your hands into my place of purpose and eternal rest, in Jesus name.
3. Holy Spirit, I need divine direction and guidance in my journey in life, in Jesus name.
4. I reject and rebuke the spirit of confusion, in Jesus name.
5. In your infinite mercies O God, place me in the centre of your purpose for my life, in Jesus name.
