Bible reading: Galatians 3:11, Romans 1:17
Memory Verse: Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:38 (KJV)
Unlike the traditional project management waterfall approach which focuses on detailed upfront planning, the Scrum Framework is founded on the belief that the knowledge workers of today can offer is much more than just their technical expertise, and that trying to fully map out and plan for an ever-changing environment is not efficient (Reference: A Guide to Scrum Body of Knowledge, SBOK Guide, page 37.)
Brethren, the more I see professionals delve into Bible principles, the more I am in awe of the manifold wisdom deeply entrenched in the Bible waiting to be discovered eternally. The principle deployed by the Scrum Framework in project management is only confirming what the Bible says in Isaiah 28:10 (NKJV) which says, “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.” It is also in alliance with what the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:4 (AMP), “He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].”
What is our take home from today’s devotional:
1. It is good to plan but please don’t forget the place of faith. Stretch your faith. It will handle the contingencies (unforeseen risks and uncertainties) in your future.
2. In many cases in the school of life, you don’t need to wait until you have all resources complete. With that #200,000 ($400) you can pay for the part payment of that parcel of land and collect your receipt as evidence of payment. Believe me, the resources will come to balance the payment. Why? You have activated a Biblical principle by acting in faith.
3. You will have no one to blame for the result of your life in old age – not the government, not the economy, not your parents who abandoned you or couldn’t send you to school, not your husband who abandoned you with the children, not your Pastor/Church who disappointed you, not your company who terminated your appointment – but yourself.
4. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). It is also true that without personal faith you may not fulfill God’s plan and purpose for your life.
Quote: Many times, the results of our lives are in the same measure as the faith in our faith.
Prophetic Decree: I curse faith failure in your life, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. I repent of my spiritual cowardice and lack of faith needed to possess my possessions.
2. O Lord, please help me not to despise the days of little beginning, in Jesus name.
3. I receive a new heart of faith as I run with my divine vision at my divine timing, in Jesus name.
4. Power of the Most High overshadow my life, in Jesus name.
