Bible Reading:  1 Peter 5: 10-11

Memory Verse:  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11 (NKJV)

The latin root for testimony is ‘testis’ meaning “witness.” The word testimony in Hebrew is ‘Aydooth’ which means ‘do it again with the same power and authority.’ Every time we speak out, or read a testimony, we are saying, “Lord, do it again with the same power and authority.” Easy was never promised in the Christian journey but Victory was. Should you desire the type of testimony, grace or results flowing from a life, I will advice you sow a seed into the life of the testifier and/or serve such a grace you covet.

However, dear brethren, there are numerous tests in life that preceeds testimonies.  Even the word testimony has the word ‘test’ in front it. Such tests include:

  1. The Test of time: The test of time develops our patience. God’s tests do not only reveal something but refine something in us; they expose but also expel. God cannot develop patience in you if He does not let you wait for some things.
  • The Test of faith: The test of faith purges our mood swings. God develops our faith by withdrawing His manifest presence where we don’t feel Him for a season so that our faith has a chance to grow. We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
  • The Test of Purity: You cannot flirt with sin and not fall. There is no other way to pass the test of purity than to choose the prison of restriction. The better your self restriction, the better your purity.
  • The Test of Forgiveness: The reason the pain of rejection is the deepest is that it comes from the people closest to you. Forgiving someone simply means you refuse to lock up a person in your heart. Forgiveness does not require you wait for an apology first.

5. The Test of Diligence: Don’t wait for a new season before you do your best in the season that you are in. ‘Destination disease’ causes many people not to do anything with their present. The anointing will always work better through you than for you. If you are not allowing God’s anointing to flow through you because it hasn’t done anything for you, you failed the test of diligence.

QuoteWe fall, We break, We fail. But with Jesus, We Rise, We Heal, We Overcome.

Prophetic Decree:  You will not fail the test of destiny, in Jesus name.
