Memory Verse: Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. 1 Peter 5:5a (NHEB)

Individuals, families, businesses, corporate institutions, ministries, etc, must all have a spiritual covering. A spiritual covering or spiritual umbrella is someone ordained by the Lord to mentor and intercede on your behalf before God. A father-in-the-Lord was praying and He saw his spiritual son in a vision. He saw something like a grave and held his hand in the revelation and pulled him out of it. In the revelation he said, “What is the living doing among the dead?”

Thereafter, he opened his eyes. 3a.m that same morning, he left his home in Lagos and travelled straight to Ogun State in Nigeria. When the son was told that his father was downstairs, he was shocked. “Come here. Kneel down”, he said. “What is the living doing among the dead?” And he laid hands on his spiritual son and anointed him with Oil. Guess what? This son was about to embark on a journey to Cyprus that same day. 

When they were airborne, the first engine of the aeroplane failed, and the second failed thereafter. But the devil came late because a father saw it. The emergency landing did not result in any casualty. Don’t join the generation of those who abuse their spiritual fathers offline or online. Some fathers like Elijah could be temperamental; others could be too pushy, bossy or quite flamboyant. We are all work in progress in the making room of the Almighty. Pay attention to the grace of God in them which you must partake from. Concentrate on what you want.

1. Who is your spiritual father as revealed from the mouth of the living God?

2. How often do you honour him in cash and in kind?

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Lord for You are the greatest.

2. My Father, give me grace to appreciate and celebrate my father-in-the Lord, in Jesus name.

3. I come out from any evil authority over my head, in Jesus name.

4. I come out from the evil authority of any ancestral strongman, in Jesus name.

5. O Lord, if I am under the wrong spiritual covering, relocate me, in Jesus name.
