THE BLESSINGS OF GOD UPON THE CHILDREN THROUGH THEIR PARENTS

Bible Reading:  Psalm 112: 1-4

Memory Verse: Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. Psalm 112: 2 (NLT)

God is a just God. He will never owe any man. Do you know that the benefits of kingdom service could trickle down from one generation to another? Please learn to provoke God by coming into a covenant with Him through kingdom service. Consider the following instances:

  1. One of his parents donated himself as a ransom when the Church couldn’t pay for one of the instruments they bought. Today, he has served both as a military head of state in his country, and as a two-term civilian president. Infact, he almost went for a third term. Sacrifice upon the family altar borne out of radical kingdom service was speaking for him. Brethren, there are also transgenerational blessings.
  • There is a Man of God in Warri, Nigeria. It is reported that his great grandparents brought the Anglican Church to Nigeria. No wonder he is working great ministerial exploits for Jesus, too. What you sow, you reap.
  • There is a politician who suddenly rose to limelight. It is believed that the grace of God upon his father shot him to limelight. His father was one of the pioneering Pastors in Urhobo land.
  • There is a popular family noted for their multi billionaire business empire for many decades now. It was gathered that their forefathers were missionaries to Lagos, Nigeria. The sacrificial labour of their forefathers connected the lineage to the mystery of kingdom wealth.
  • His father, uncle and other members of his extended family were Assemblies of God pastors. They spent and were spent for the Lord. Little wonder the mega explosion in his own ministry all over the world today.
  • His grandmother was a Christian. She taught him to tithe (removal of 10% of all your earnings for the Lord). He stuck diligently to this covenant practice as a young boy till today. To the glory of God, he has become a man of influence and affluence.

Quote:  A good man leaves an inheritance for his children and children’s children Proverbs 13:22 (NLT)

Prophetic Decree: You shall not be a victim of evil inheritance, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the honour to serve You.

2. I shall not bring a generational curse upon my lineage, in Jesus name.

3. O God, remember my sacrifices as a token for good, in Jesus name.

4. As a result of my kingdom service, my generation is preserved, in Jesus name.

5. After the order of Mordecai, O God, open a book of remembrance for my lineage in Jesus mighty name.

6. May the aroma of my kingdom sacrifices forever come to God as a token for good, in Jesus name.
