Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 4:15-16, Hebrews 6:12

Memory Verse:  An eye that disdains a father and despises a mother— that eye will be plucked out by wild vultures and consumed by young eagles. Proverbs 30:17 (MSG)

Pastor Korede Komaiya said it all with the topic of today. Be blessed:  “To be fatherless is the greatest curse a mortal man can experience. A father is a feather with which we fly, a ladder with which we climb. A spiritual father is the biblical order for duplication and multiplication of grace. A generation that curses their father will have their light descend into obscure darkness.

Only fathers give inheritance; teachers may teach, but only fathers impart. To be fatherless is a risk. To be fatherless is a curse. You cannot change your father. You cannot ridicule or disown your father. A non-biblical approach will never produce biblical results.

By the blessing of a father, you scale heights, break barriers, and enjoy longevity. The Bible commands children to honour their fathers; not to instruct, correct, ridicule, or disdain them. Dishonour is far deadlier than we often realize. Who you choose to honour today determines the future that awaits you.

I boldly declare: I love my Father, Bishop David Oyedepo. I see no fault in my father. This is not just information; it is a Revelation. I see farther because I stand on the shoulders of my father. I am too connected to be frustrated. A son abides forever. A son does not disconnect from his father. I am forever connected to my father.

The blessings of honouring both your spiritual and biological father cannot be fathomed. People die young, live broke, suffer sickness, and experience devastation because of dishonour. Every curse is rooted in dishonour. Relate wisely with your spiritual father. You can never point an accusing finger at your father.

Never trust anyone who attacks their father. Never rely on anyone who betrays their father. Never associate with anyone who disowns their father. Never, never, never, never be in the inner circle of anyone who changes their father. Never join anyone to attack or fight your father. Give your father joy, not pain.

Fatherhood is permanent. No perfect vessels, but perfect virtues. Similarly, these virtues are hidden in earthen vessels. In the same way, no perfect human father exists, but they carry perfect divine virtues. The mistakes and imperfections of your father remain your greatest test of wisdom.

Conclusively, in life, you must know who never to fight. Never fight your father. Honour unlocks grace; dishonour invites disgrace. Choose wisely!

Quote:  The mistakes and imperfections of your father remains your greatest test of wisdom.

Prophetic Decree: Every curse of limitation and stagnancy borne out of dishonour is broken, in Jesus name

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to discern and honour my spiritual father.

2. By the mercies of God, I shall multiply and discern my spiritual father, in Jesus name.

3. I rebuke the spirit of pride and arrogance that causes me to dishonour, attack, or fight my father, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, in a way that cannot be mistakened, please help me to know my spiritual father, in Jesus name.

5. I revoke, by the mercies of God, every curse upon my life as a result of dishonour to my biological and spiritual parents, in Jesus name.
