Bible Reading: John 9:1-3, John 11: 1-4

Memory VerseI have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering. Isaiah 48:10 (NLT)

In John 9:1-3, it will beat your imagination how a child will come out blind from His mother’s womb, not as a result of his sins or his parents’ sins, or any generational curse but that the glorious works of God may manifest in him. At another instance in John 11:1-4, you will be surprised at the manifold wisdom of God. Lazarus, a man whom the scriptures recorded that Jesus loved was sick unto death. Why? For the same reason: That God might be glorified in his life. And was He not glorified indeed when Lazarus came back to life after four days? In Luke chapter 12, the resurrection of Lazarus back to life brought many Jews to believe in Jesus Christ.

Brethren, it seems to me that some of our hard, stubborn, and seemingly never-ending problems are raw materials for the greater glory of God to be revealed in our lives. Deep calls unto deep. Deep problems will lead to a greater manifestation of God’s glory. Don’t forget: It is the furnace of fire that produces the purest of gold. Friend, God is in that battle with you. He is going to use that unpleasant situation all to His glory. God proved to Daniel and the entire people of the land of Babylon that He didn’t have to prevent His servant, Daniel, from going into the lion’s den BUT HE TOOK MORE GLORY AND HONOR IN ALLOWING DANIEL TO GO INTO THE LIONS’ DEN BEFORE DELIVERING HIM.

Daniel became the only man in the Bible who spent a night hosted with much hospitality by a pride of hungry lions. He came out unscathed from the lion’s den the next morning. When you pass through the storms of life, know for sure it is all for His greater glory to be revealed in your life. God has not promised to ALWAYS prevent us from problems. Most assuredly, He has promised to always walk us through all the problems of life all to His greater glory. Isaiah 43:2 (CSB) says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.”

Assignment:  Meditate on 1 Corinthians 2: 6-11
