Bible Reading: John 1:29, Revelation 5:5
Memory Verse: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 (NKJV)
The same Jesus who was used as a sacrificial lamb became the lion of the tribe of Judah, King over the heavens, the earth and beneath the earth. He became a lamb that he may exercise authority as King. Many want God to arise as a lion of the tribe of Judah as He roars and consume their problems, but they don’t want to acknowledge this same Jesus as a lamb. A lamb is a usually kept on the altar for a sacrifice.
Is your life on the altar of God as a sacrifice? A sacrifice after the order of Isaac on the altar of the Lord at Mount Moriah has lost his will power. Isaac was younger and could have escaped from Abraham at Mount Moriah, but he CHOSE to do his father’s bidding even if it means to die in order to please him (Rev. 12:11b). That is the meaning of a reasonable service, and that is the true meaning of a living, holy and acceptable sacrifice.
The greatest hindrance to the will of God may not necessarily be the devil, but the will of man. Where are the lambs after the order of Isaac that Jesus can ‘make, send and use’ as He deems fit? Where are the lambs dead to their own self ambitions and ready to receive the will of God for their lives?
Where are the lambs of God lost in His will forever on their altar of reasonable service according to Romans 12:2? It is such lambs who have willingly offered themselves as a living sacrifice that will roar in the day of trouble as a lion, and heavens must stand at attention because they have a covenant with God which cannot be broken.
Finally, the scripture is fulfilled. Isaac gave his life as a sacrificial lamb to later gain it, having his inheritance on the earth. Matthew 10:39 (CEV), “If you try to save your life, you will lose it. But if you give it up for me, you will surely find it.” There is nothing you give back to God as a sacrificial lamb, be it your ambition, your academics, your career, your money or your time that He will not give you back in an hunderd fold in this world and in the world to come.
The lamb will eventually manifest as a lion. A lion rules amongst his peers. He dominates in the jungle. Jesus answered, “Anyone who starts plowing and keeps looking back isn’t worth a thing to God’s kingdom!” Luke 9:62 (CEV)
Quote: You travail as a lamb but prevail as a lion.
Prophetic Decree: May the lamb of God and the lion of the tribe of Judah find full expression in your life, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus

3. I receive the grace to humble myself as a lamb before the slaughter, that I may prevail as a lion, in Jesus name.
4. Like Isaac, I refuse to miss my Mount Sinai experience that God’s needed to inherit the earth, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Spirit, please give me the heart of a lamb after the order of the lamb of God, that I may rule over the forces of the earth, heavens and under the earth after the order of the lion of the tribe of Judah.
