Bible Reading: Hebrews 10: 35

Memory Verse:  So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. Hebrews 10:35 (BSB)

A king had many elephants, but one elephant was very powerful, very obedient, sensible and skillful in fighting. In many wars, he was sent on the battlefield and he returns only after getting victory for the king. Therefore, he was the most loved elephant of the king. There came a time when the elephant started getting old and was no longer at its peak performance. Therefore, the king did not send him to the battlefield but it still remained a part of his team. One day, the elephant went to the lake to drink water, but his feet got stuck in the mud and started sinking. He struggled to come out but could not remove himself from the mud. It was obvious from the sound of his screams that he was in trouble.

The news of the trapping of the elephant also reached the king. All the people, including the king, gathered around the elephant and made various efforts to get it out. But after trying for a long time, there was no way out. At that time, an old minister to the king was passing by. He first inspected the site of the incident and then suggested to the king that the battle drums should be played around the lake. The listeners couldn’t reconcile how the trapped elephant would come out by playing the drums. As soon as the drums of war started, so did the change in the gesture of the troubled elephant. At first, the elephant slowly stood up and then came out of the mud on his own shocking everyone.

Lessons

1. There was no lack of physical ability of the elephant, only the need to infuse enthusiasm within it. To maintain enthusiasm in life, it is necessary that humans maintain purposeful thinking and refuse to be captured by any circumstance.

2. As individuals, you must understand your tipping point. What triggers or fuels your passion to get you going despite all daunting odds? Could it be music, meditation, worship, reading, sight-seeing, or “a drum of war”?

3. Sometimes the only thing that will bring out your best, and unlock your hidden potential is right there in the midst of your challenges.

4. Not all negative things are demonic, but all demonic things are negative.

Quote Little things have been known to trigger big results.

Prophetic Decree: May the Lord set your hearts on fire to do the extraordinary, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. The Lord our inspiration, we worship You.

2. My Father, provoke the best in me in your power, in Jesus name.

3. I bind and cast out every spirit of limitation, in Jesus name.

4. I come against every self limiting thoughts, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, give me courage and fervour to confront my Goliath, in Jesus name.
