Bible Reading: Psalm 34:18

Memory VerseThe sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despisePsalm 51:17 (NKJV)

I celebrate the grace of God upon Dr D.K. Olukoya. A lot of us are facing battles. There are always three elements of spiritual warfare.

Element 1: Dealing with the devil and his hosts.

Element 2: Taking control of your mind, because if the enemy can have your mind, he has you already. Establish a solid immigration control at the door of your mind so that thoughts without divine visas are deported back to their senders.

Element 3: Crucify the flesh. The big truth which many preachers will not explain to you is this: Satanic attacks against us cannot prosper against our lives if our flesh refuses to cooperate. The Bible says “mortify your body which is on earth”. So if we are mortifying our bodies like Colossians 3:5 says on a daily basis, if we are living lives that are dead to sin as we are commanded in scriptures, we will not be responding to demonic suggestions. We will not welcome fleshy temptations because dead men do not respond to temptations. Dead men do not commit fornication, abuse people, or respond to anybody trying to gossip about them. Therein lies the power of a broken life. You want the power of God in your life? Then you must embrace brokenness.

Brokenness is:

I. Saying YES when God says YES.

II. Surrendering the totality of your life on the altar of God.

III. Ensuring that the flesh does not have control of your life.

IV. Constantly bringing your flesh under control. So living a life of brokenness is a critical part of spiritual warfare. A man may scream and shout at the devil all day, but if he has permitted just one area of his life to go unchecked and unguarded, if there is an area of sin in his life that he is aware of but is not ready to deal with it, that area opens doors for satanic attack against his life. As far as that door is opened, all the prayers against the devil will be to no avail. Some people have anger issues. Until you deal with it, a door is open. Some people talk carelessly. Until you deal with it, a door is open for the enemy to exploit. Some cannot control themselves sexually. Until you deal with it, there is a door open. Some are worldly in mind watching pornographic contents, listening and watching sensual musical videos, and masturbating. Until you deal with such things, a door is open. So in many cases, the devil is not the real enemy. The enemy is the carnal mind and flesh which we must bring under control in order to eradicate all these attacks.

You want to key into the power of God? You must embrace brokenness.

A broken life:

I. Will cease to be the raw materials of satanic devourers.

II. Will know the secrets of the Lord.

III. Is immune to satanic arrows.

IV. Will trample permanently on serpents and scorpions.

V. Will become a terror to demonic forces.

VI. Will make demons to rejoice after they are gone.

VII. Will offer no cooperation to the enemy.

Quote: In most cases the devil is not the real enemy. The enemy is the carnal mind and flesh which we must bring under control in order to close the door to the enemy’s attack.

Prophetic Decree: By the power of God, I close all the doors to the enemy’s attacks, in Jesus name

Prayer Focus

1. I repent of all doors I have opened for the enemy to exploit my life via sin, in Jesus name.

2. Blood of Jesus, guard the doors of my heart in the name of Jesus.

3. Where is the altar of my problems? Break and scatter by fire, in the name of Jesus.

4. (Lay your right hand on your head) Any spirit of the grave in my body, come out now, in the name of Jesus.

5. Sorcerers hired to pull me down, be wasted! in the name of Jesus.

6. File of darkness, keeping the details of my future, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
