Bible Reading:  2 Peter 3:9, Proverbs 28:13

Memory VerseProve by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Matthew 3:8 (NLT)

Many will continue to languish in pain not because they aren’t prayerful, anointed or hardworking, but simply because they are not repentant. Genuine repentance is very powerful. Many are struggling simply because they haven’t completely surrendered to the perfect will of God for their lives and destiny. Such category of people don’t need too much prayer, fasting, deliverance or seed sowing; all they need is repentance and re-allignment to the will of God for their lives. Why should you watch your family suffer because of your stubborness to obey the specifics of God’s call upon your life? Indeed the greatest problem to the will of God is not the devil but the stubborn will of man. Brethren, God must conquer you. One battle you must not win is the battle against the Holy Spirit. Why not yield in repentance today. Repentance is so powerful that it attracted a sinful tax collector to God than a Pharisee who observed the law in self righteousness (Luke 18: 9-14). No wonder Psalms  51:17 says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Repentance is one of the basic doctrines of faith which has not been well understood by the modern day believers. Look at the way you gave your life to Christ. Simply by having a repentant heart you confessed Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and immediately, you moved from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Light (Rom. 10:10).  Then, your former sins, no matter how enormous were wiped off with the blood of the lamb of God. You became a new creature because you repented. If many people had humbled themselves in repentance when their boss accused them of a wrong doing perhaps they wouldn’t have lost their job. You kept arguing in pride until he threw you out of the company. Learn to lose some battles in order to win some wars. Similarly, until certain individuals humble themselves before their parents, guardian, Pastor or any other delegated spiritual authority, their destiny may never take a giant stride. Aren’t you tired of all these small blessings when net breaking miracles are up for your grab! Covet parental blessings. Re – pent today. Go back to your root to receive the blessings needed to move your life forward. Furthermore, repentance (conviction that often lead to restitution) led Peter back to Christ even after denying Him. Remorse (deep regret or guilt for a wrong committed) made Judas hang himself. You need repentance not remorse.

Quote: You may not be able to separate a repentant soul from a humble heart. Both often go together.

Prophetic Decree: Receive a heart of flesh for a heart of stone, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. My Father (x3), have mercy on me, in Jesus name.

2. I hold on to your horn of mercy and grace, wash me clean today, in Jesus name.

3. I receive a broken heart and a humble spirit today, in Jesus name.

4. I receive a repentant heart and a restitutive will today, in Jesus name.

5. I crush every serpent of pride between me and my next level, in Jesus name.
