Bible Reading: Romans 1:16

Memory Verse:  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the GreekRomans 1:16 (CSB)

Before he became a Christian he sat down for his GCSE twice and failed woefully. The first time he had 7F’s and the second time he had 9F’s. Infact, he couldn’t speak or construct a good sentence in English Language. He had concluded that academics was not meant for him. One day, he decided to give his life to Christ and began listening to the messages of a particular man of God passionately. One night, he had an encounter.

God appeared to him with the face of this particular man of God performing a surgical operation in his head. Immediately, he began to speak and write good English and his brain was revamped. What is the evidence? He, who hitherto got F’s in his examinations has finished with a diploma certificate. He has also gone to the University to acquire a degree, and now a graduate! This is the aftermath of just one encounter!

That’s not all. God led him to go to a Bible School in recent times and he has

just graduated as well. The miracles of supernatural provisions on a daily basis was his experience. The Bible School was a faith adventure. Strangers called him at random to bless him. Without much resources, he stretched his faith and God surprised him.

Job 9:10 (NKJV) says, “He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number.” But, the entry point is salvation and afterwards, genuine passion for more of God. Are you truly saved? You have been going to church for donkey years. Perhaps you’re a worker, elder, deacon, or even a pastor. Or, you could have been reading this devotional for a while. All these titles and positions does not confirm your genuine salvation. John 3:3 (NKJV) says, “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Friends, it is time to know the Lord personally. Enough of head knowledge. Many have been coming to Church for many years without submitting to the lordship of Jesus. They’ve accepted the salvation of the Lord but denies His lordship. Many have been born again but are not desirous to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Many have been born again for many years but none of their family members are saved. Salvation is the gate that opens us to the supernatural, but you need to explore many other doors within that gate.

QuoteSalvation is the only gate to the supernatural.

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...
