THE TESTIMONY OF HABILA ADAMU

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post February

On November 28, 2012 Habila Adamu was shot in front of his wife and 6-year-old child. Four heavily armed members of the Boko Haram terrorist sect brought him to the front of his house and asked him if he was ready to renounce his faith. He answered in the contrary. He was shot close to his nose as blood began to gush out. He wouldn’t accept to compromise or deny his faith in Jesus. That will amount to gross betrayal to the Lord his saviour who died for him and shed His blood for his sins. He preferred to pay the ultimate price of death if need be.

Dear brethren, what happens the day your boss tells you to sleep with him or get sacked (bear in mind that there are no jobs anywhere)? What happens on the day your lecturer threatens to fail you in your final year if you don’t “settle him”? What happens on the day you are told to deny your faith or die like a martyr? Will your strength fail you? The worth of your faith cannot be known until it is tried in fire. Those little compromises, little stealing, little lying, little gossips, adultery, fornication, anger, inconsistency on your prayer altar, etc, will affect your ultimate resolution to stand on your faith in God. For nine hours, Habila was on the floor unable to speak.

Everyone thought he was dead. He was referred to three different hospitals due to the complications. One side of his jaws was completely broken. The doctors contemplated cutting some flesh and bones from his laps until a miracle happened on the day of the said operation. A scan proved that the jaw bones and flesh has been miraculously replaced. Who said God does not work miracles especially on His faithfuls? Hear me: Nobody can kill you until you have fulfilled your destiny in God provided you will consistently serve God. Humm…”If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for Me (Jesus), you will find it.” Matthew 10:29 (NLT). Selah.

Quote: Faith not worth dying for shouldn’t ever be professed.

Prophetic Decree: All the enemies of your faith shall be shamelessly disgraced, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus for dying for me so that I can truly live for You.

2. I receive grace to live and die for Christ, in Jesus name.

3. Witchcraft arrows fired against my faith, backfire, in Jesus name.

4. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I WILL NEVER DENY MY JESUS.

5. Grace to stand, speak and propagate Jesus, fall upon me, in Jesus name.
