Bible Reading: Psalm 40:1-3

Memory Verse: I waited patiently for the LORD, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help. Psalm 40:1 (HCSB)

Do you know it was impatience that robbed Esau of his birth right? He wanted the porridge right there and then (Genesis 25: 29-34). Can you recollect times impatience denied you of making better decision, better  business deal, better profit, etc? Impatience is indeed a thief of time and virtues. It is good to run fast, but it is better to run well.

Now, it is best to run fast and at the same time run well. Mind you, if truly you have surrendered to Christ, your destiny speed per time is a function of his dealings over your life. Dear brethren, let God conquer you. Let God work His work of patience in your heart. It pays in the long run. Many years ago, I was living in a one-room apartment as a bachelor. As a young man, I wanted to live big. I wanted a fast life.

One night as I slept, I saw an angel run towards me in a dream, and he said these words verbatim: “You have not started early nor have you started late. Be patient.” Young people, can you relate with that? Stop competing with your friends or neighbors. Some people are even competing with their fathers who have been working for 25 years before they were born.

Compete only with your destiny timing. That’s all you need to compete with. What is God saying over your life per time? May the Holy Spirit breath upon your understanding, in Jesus mighty name.

The picture is shown of a Man of God living in a one room apartment 25years ago in Southwest Nigeria. Today, the Lord has enlarged his coast beyond the borders. Don’t be in a hurry to succeed, wait patiently on God. Always be thankful to God because He makes everything beautiful in His own time. Tomorrow shall be greater than today. Your destiny is unstoppable.
