…Continued from yesterday. The life of one struggling pastor was changed in one day, because he listened to the voice of God and made a painful sacrifice when it was most inconvenient. How many times have you heard the voice of God speak to you, only for you to ignore it? Great sacrifices always preceed great open doors.
How many times have you had that urge and feeling to help someone and you turned it down? Many have missed an opportunity that could have changed their lives forever just because they refused to listen to the voice of God. They failed to make that sacrifice. They felt they needed their Isaac (their treasure) and couldn’t let go. They felt the urge yet they ignored it. God speaks primarily through the Bible.
The Bible is the only infallible way by which God speaks. Other ways by which you can access the voice of God are: Through the inner witness of the Holy Spirit, like Joseph through dreams, through visions and trances, through prophecy, through the audible voice of the Holy Spirit, through our godly parents, neighbours and teachers, through divine circumstances/coincidences, etc. It is your responsibility to train your human spirit to trap divine communications.
Nobody will do this for you. One sure step to do this is to be a vast reader of the Bible and a prayer addict. This will enable you to know the mind of Christ over several issues. Bible memorisation is also a sure way else, you might become a candidate of false prophets and false teachers who make merchandise of the Gospel of Christ. The voice of God can come to you as an instruction, a nudge in your spirit, an inspiration, a holy fear in your spirit, innermost peace, ‘holy resentment’, etc. Be warned: The Holy Spirit is a very gentle spirit. He will not usually strive with man (Genesis 6:3).
Furthermore, please take note that highly consequential destiny impacting decisions may come to you through a very simple instruction or nudge in your spirit. The voice of God doesn’t need to be very loud before you know it is divine and urgent. Please don’t ever forget: Put every divine instruction or nudge side by side with the Word of God before you carry it out. Remember the devil can also appear as a form of light (2 Cor. 11:14). If you are not sure of certain spiritual signs, speaking or symbols, please do well to ask a more matured believer or your pastor for further confirmation. As a general rule: No divine instruction should contravene the Word of God.

Prayer Focus
1. Any clog in the wheel of my spiritual progress, be removed, in Jesus name.
2. Arrow of spiritual deafness and dumbness, backfire, in Jesus name.
3. Holy Spirit, please lubricate my spiritual antenna for shaper receptability, in Jesus name.
4. The pathway to the release of my spirit, receive fresh fire, in Jesus name.
5. I receive greater grace to trap, understand, and execute spiritual signals, in Jesus name.
6. My eyes, my ears, my nose, my body, and my mouth be consecrated unto God, in Jesus name.
