Bible Reading:  Psalm 63: 1-2

Memory VerseHe made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of IsraelPsalm 103:7 (KJV)

Most people have spiritual fathers and mothers, mentors, instructors, coach, etc, who direct them on diverse affairs of life. However, these persons must not become a substitute to your intimacy with God. Dearly beloved, there are certain destiny keys God will give no one but you. Going to Church everyday is not a sign of intimacy with God though it is expected to harness your intimacy with  God. It is only a means to an expected end.

How then do you cultivate deep intimacy with God?:

1. Have a burning desire to know more of God: You must sustain an insatiable hunger and an insatiable passion for more of God. Like Moses, press harder to know His ways. You must be passionate about entering new dimensions in God.

2. Seek God first in everything you do (Mat. 6:33): In the morning when you wake up, when you enter your workplace, in the bus, at school, etc. Say something sweet to God e.g.  “Thank you Jesus”, “Lord, how I love you.” It is called reverence.

3. Be addicted to prayer (1 Thes. 5:18): Prayer is an act of humility and intimacy with God. Pray everywhere. You don’t always need to shout when praying.

4. Crave for the voice/instructions of the Holy Spirit: Seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and pursue His leading. Don’t ever act until He leads.

5. Be a Bible Addict: This is the fundamental way of knowing God intimately. Many get into trouble because they haven’t trained their minds to discern the voice of God first from the Word of God.

6. Cherish Koinonia (fellowship): I mean you alone in God’s presence. Set time apart to fellowship alone with God. This is way beyond everyday quiet time. Get lost alone in His presence. The more you spend quality time with a person, the more intimate you become. Then, you begin to understand even God’s body language.

A generation knew God as Jehovah. Another knew God as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You have known the God of your Pastor, the God of your G.O, your God of your General Superintendent, your Lead Pastor, your Senior Pastor, etc, when will you know God for yourself? When will your generation hear of the God of (put your complete name)? Follow the way of intimacy until God makes an everlasting covenant with you.

Assignment: Pick up the book “God’s Chasers” by Tommy Tenny.

Quote:  Biblical truths are interwoven. None stands in isolation.

Prophetic Decree:

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for the promise of your Spirit at work in my life.

2. O Lord, please help me to know more of You, in Jesus name.

3. I pull down the wall of self and sin between me and  Jesus.

4. Precious Holy Spirit, please take me deeper in You, in Jesus name.

5. Lord, help me to know You continously, progressively and even more passionately, in Jesus mighty name.
